1 Dead in Hollywood Gunfight With LAPD: At Least 10 Shots Were Fired

A suspect was shot and killed Friday morning during a gunfight with police near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.

LAPD officers responded to reports of gunfire at 10:19 a.m. in the 1400 block of Vine Street.

Upon arrival, a shootout with officers ensued.

One person was fatally shot. Aerial video showed a white sheet covering what appears to be a dead body in the middle of the street.

A second person was also shot during the gunfight.

No police officers were injured in the shooting.

Police shut down a portion of the street near ArcLight Cinemas. Traffic was being diverted around the crime scene.
